Religious Education (R.E.)

The parish has been involved in teaching Religious Education in local schools, such as Woongoolba State School, for many years. A team of four teachers, including Pastor, attend the school weekly and teach all grades for a half hour lesson. We are the only denomination to visit the school, therefore we have approximately 200 children in total attending our classes, which is out of a total school enrolment of approximately 250. In this regard, the Connect material published by the Anglican Church is used. A highlight of the year is when all of the children are taken by bus to our church, where we present a Christmas service. The children always remember this special day.
