Women's Fellowship (Ladies Guild)
The
ladies of the parish are active in rosters for cleaning the
church, hall and flowers for each Sunday. They serve morning
tea following each 8.00 a.m. service, and this creates a very
friendly atmosphere, and gives everyone the opportunity to
talk to others.
Cake stalls are usually held whenever voting
days are on as voting is held in the church halls. Proceeds
from the work goes to the church and hall and is donated to
zone and district projects as well as other projects like
Lutherans for Life and Lutheran Radio and
TV. We really appreciate our Pastor's leadership in
Bible studies as we go about our service for the church. We
support the L.W.A. and L.Y.Q. regional projects, and many
other projects, such as Mission for the Blind, L.W.S., Tract
Mission, Media and Radio, and Blue Nurses. We support our
own congregation by supplying tapes, song and hymn books,
and other needs of our church family. Functions are held where
we invite other local fellowships.
Bethlehem, Woongoolba Ladies Fellowship
Our ladies fellowship meets on the 4th Thursday
of each month at 9.00a.m. We commence with Bible study from
our magazine called "Lutheran Women", and then a
morning of fellowship is enjoyed by all. Our fellowship is
part of a zone which reaches from Brisbane to southern end
of the Gold Coast. We enjoy attending functions held by various
other fellowships, and in turn invite them to join us.
Everyone is most welcome to join us. Please
phone Cathy Berndt on (07) 5546 2266 for more information.
St. Peter's Alberton Ladies Fellowship
The First ladies fellowship was formed in
1936 and has been active to this present day providing for
the missions, various charitable arms of the church and community
as well as material needs for the church and hall.
We meet on the first Monday of the month for
a bible study and business meeting and the third Monday of
the month for a morning cuppa and a chat. All meetings begin
at 9.30.a.m. Some of our meetings are held at the hall and
others are in members homes. This is a wonderful cross section
of women from our young mums to our Great Grandmothers.
'Miracles in Russia' morning at the St Peter's Hall on the 18th July was a lovely success! Thanks to all that attended and especially to all the ladies that worked hard to prepare the morning! Praise God for another wonderful morning of fellowship!
